Learning areas

Within the functional rooms there are various learning areas to develop different skills like, mathematics, language, sensory trays, etc. In the sense of self-education of children, we do not want to limit them in their spaces, in their choice of games and materials.

Children are allowed to go on a discovery tour - inside and outside - in our kindergarten, they are allowed to visit their friends in the home groups and can participate in the various activities across the groups, when the time for open work is set up.

Rules

Meaningful and clear rules of use of the different rooms and times of use for the individual areas are set up.

These rules serve to ensure the safe, educating and enjoyable time children spend in respective area. The areas are open depending on Educational decision of the teachers.

Home group

Home group is a group where children have their two teachers and a group of children of the same age. It’s a group where children are met, observed and led. It’s a group where they are set for a day, they plan their days, taught the rules and learn daily routine.

The children are in a home group during: morning circle, educational activity, lunch and goodbye circle. A preschool group has its preschool work in their home group as well.

Activities across the groups, Clubs

To extend the range of experience and thus the learning opportunities, the children can use all open areas of the house independently during the opening of the kindergarten. To do so, they inform the teacher of their home group and go to the room or activity of their choice. This is transparent to the educational staff at all times, so that it is always possible to know where the individual children are. The children are supervised at all times.

Early shift, transitional time between breakfast and morning circle, free play times, quite time, afternoon snack, clubs, late shift (16:00 to 17:30) are the times when children find activities across the groups.
